Have you ever had burn-out sneak up on you because you were having so much fun?

For the past two months I’ve been working every single day with few exceptions. I publish an article on Medium and send an atomic email every weekday and work on other side-projects on the weekend.

I thought I was doing well. I love the work and it literally feels energizing. I often find myself not wanting to stop.

Then It Happened

I woke up feeling absolutely exhausted.

No problem. I’ll push through until the weekend, actually take a break, and get right back on track.

I sat down to write and nothing would come.

My brain had gone on strike and it was going to force me to take a break whether I wanted to or not.

No problem. I still have a few articles in my emergency bank. I’ll give myself a few days and get right back on track.

Unfortunately my body and mind needed more than a few days to fully recover.
