Going Into Seeker Mode

Why you can’t lose your curiosity

For the past couple of weeks I’ve been blocked.

For months it’s been full steam ahead. I’ve been effortlessly publishing an article and newsletter every weekday.

Then, without warning, I woke up exhausted. Complete burn-out had crept up on me.

I came across this quote today and realized what I needed to do.

“Consistency is contrary to nature, contrary to life. The only completely consistent people are the dead.”

- Aldous Huxley

My Mistakes

I’ve been fighting my natural state, trying to push forward with the plan no matter what.

I’ve been putting an enormous amount of pressure on the outcome of my daily writing sessions.

It was that pressure to publish so often that killed my creativity.

I wasn’t writing to think, explore, and understand anymore. I was writing with a singular purpose.

I found myself once again caught up in a churn & burn cycle.

  • Too little input
  • Too little processing
